My name is Sophia Pirie. I am number 11 on Windy City Storm u19 girls team. I go to Lemont High school and am currently holding a 4.1/w GPA. I believe I am a worthy candidate to join your team and play competitive hockey because I have drive and passion for everything I do. I am always up for a challenge and to put in the work, also, I am always looking to improve on skills and myself. In school I help teach a special needs class also managing calc, college writing, honors anatomy, AP gov and interning with a law firm.
I believe building relationships with teammates and coaches is super important to help with the love of the game. I am willing to work with the same work ethic under any coach and under any circumstance wanting to have fun and win. The rink is my second home my second family and is a place I truly enjoy.
I have been playing club hockey for about 8 years, but have been involved in the game for around 12 years. Since playing club, I started at Chicago fury 12 U girls team placing 4th in state being 10 years old. I then switched to 12U boys Vikings (Orland Park) at 11 years old and was the only girl on a boys team. After that I was introduced to the Team Illinois program and was there for 5 seasons. However I made the switch to Windy City Storm in the hopes to better myself as a player and individual for my final season.
