Nicole Koops '21 Recruiting Profile

I've been skating most of my life, first stepping on the ice around 4 or 5 and beginning to play hockey at age 9. Hockey has always been a part of my life, as at a young age I enjoyed coming along to my brothers' hockey games until I became interested in playing the game too. I quickly fell in love with the sport and all the friendships and lessons I gained from it. I have a strong passion for the game which fuels my desire to constantly work hard to improve at every practice and game. I lead by example in the way that I treat my teammates and give my all on and off the ice.

Since I have been involved in hockey for so long, I understand the dedication and time it takes and how to balance that with my classes and homework. Even during the hockey season, I put lots of effort into my academics and work to manage my time. 

I hope to continue hockey at the college level and constantly improve and learn more about the game.
