My collegiate goal is to play division 1 ice hockey. I believe I am a good candidate because I'm a hard worker who is dedicated to the game. I would rather shoot pucks and work out than be out with friends. In the off season I usually spend 1-2 hours a week shooting on goalies to improve my shot as well as 3-4 hours on off ice training.
What makes me different is that I have a real passion for the game. I'm not a social athlete. I'm not playing hockey to be on a team or meet people. Academically I have done well, with only one C over the last two years. I am primarily an A-B student. From a character standpoint, I try to not bring drama onto the ice and play the game the way it is supposed to be played. I know the importance of winning faceoffs and blocking shots and take pride in these aspects of the game.
