Hi, my name is Brianna Kot and I’m a hockey goalie who will be graduating in 2024. I love competing and playing on a team. Something I take pride in is being a supportive teammate who loves to have fun and joke around but knows when it’s time to get serious. I also know when it’s the right time to hold teammates accountable while still supporting them if they mess up. I love practicing and getting better. That practice helps me with rebound control and swallowing up pucks and not giving up a lot of rebounds. I also have a great glove hand because of my good hand-eye coordination. As a shorter goalie, I know how important it is to perfect my positioning and make sure I am as fast and explosive as possible. Even though I am short, I play big and often make saves that people may not expect me to make. My dream is to play college hockey and maybe even play pro if I get the opportunity.
Academics are very important to me and I’m currently a junior in high school taking full-time college courses at Bethel University. This allows me to graduate with a High School diploma and an Associate's Degree.
I love playing hockey and don't remember my life without hockey and honestly, can’t imagine not playing hockey in the future. After college, I want to continue working in the hockey world. I’m hoping to become a sports journalist or get into sports management. No matter what I do I know I will continue to be someone who always wants to make people happy and treat everyone with kindness and love.
