Personal Statement

Beyond the exhilarating rush of gliding across the ice and the thrill of a perfectly executed play, hockey has been my steadfast companion through every triumph and challenge. It's more than just a series of games; it's a journey of self-discovery, resilience, and teamwork. The camaraderie with my teammates, the lessons learned in defeat, and the joy of hard-fought victories have shaped me into the player and person I am today.

As a 15-year-old girl navigating the exciting landscape of high school, the prospect of playing hockey in college is not just a dream but a sincere aspiration. The love of the game has instilled in me a deep sense of discipline, dedication, and a hunger for continuous improvement. I envision college hockey not only as the continuation of my athletic journey but as a platform to excel academically and personally.

I understand the importance of balancing the demands of competitive sports with academic pursuits, and I am committed to embracing the challenges that come with both. Playing hockey in college is not just about chasing pucks; it's about embracing a holistic education that extends beyond the classroom and onto the rink.

My goal is not only to contribute to the success of a college hockey program but also to use this experience as a stepping stone towards a fulfilling adulthood. I believe that the values instilled by the game—teamwork, resilience, and leadership—are not just relevant on the ice but serve as a solid foundation for a successful future.

In essence, hockey is not just a game for me; it's a lifelong commitment to growth, excellence, and the pursuit of dreams. Playing hockey in college is not just a goal; it's a crucial chapter in my journey, one that I am excited to embark upon with determination, passion, and an enduring love for the game.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
