Mckenna Raymond '25 Recruiting Profile

After starting hockey in the 4th grade, which would be considered later for most people, I quickly caught on and was playing on my u10 hometown team in my 2nd year playing. I always have strived to be the best I can be and wanted to reach my full potential. For my eighth grade year, I was asked to play up for my high school varsity team, the Middlebury Tigers based in Vermont. We had an amazing season and we went off to win the D2 state championships. That season I realized I wanted to take my game to another level and in my freshman year of high school I started looking at Prep Schools. Now I am at Vermont Academy but am transferring back to my old high school for personal reasons. This past season at VA made me realize my potential, I improved so much from the beginning of the season to the end and the biggest takeaway of it all was learning how to be confident. So for this next season with Middlebury, I will continue to grow and bring my newfound confidence to help both myself and act as a leader for my teammates as well.
