I have been playing lacrosse since Freshman year (2018-2019), and I am set on wanting to play in college no matter what division or college it just as long as I am able to continue my lacrosse career and have the opportunity to play. I am left handed but throughout my lacrosse years I have also been able to use my right had as well which has given me the ability to use my stick skills in both hands. Even though I have only been playing lacrosse for a few years, the sport seems to give me reasons to keep going every day. I don't want to be dramatic but I didn't grow up in a normal family and playing lacrosse has been a way for me to escape and simply just play the game. I will always cherish the friends and memories I have made with my teammate and coaches. Not only have a Ive learned to always check my surrounding and keep my head on a swivel but I make sure I am helping my teammates by communicating and having trust through my team. I am very confident in my playing skill but I always find new things I can improve on whether it is stick skills, footwork, or body positioning. I just look on how I can improve on being a player in general. I try to do things outside of my comfort zone while in practice and am open to any type of criticism to help me become a better player.
School has always been important to me, I make sure I participate in my classes and offer to help other classmates if needed. As a student Ive always taken pride in my grades and study hard to maintain a good GPA. I am hoping to study in the field of biology in college, mainly focusing on Marine Biology. Sea life has always been interesting to me, I live in San Diego, California and growing up next to beaches and having a lot of aquariums near me has influenced me to love the subject. Outside of school I am currently an ambassador for a company called Travel for Teens, this company gives teenagers the ability to travel outside the country, I have traveled with this company numerous of times being able to learn different cultures and about the different countries, I've traveled to Italy, London, Paris, Iceland, and for summer of 2020 I will be going to Asia. I have introduced the company to many of my friends and hope one day to be a summer councler with the program. I am also a working student athlete and have learned the importance of professionalism as well as having fun. I take some of the experiences I learn at work and being around other people and put it into how I live my life.
In college, I want to be able to challenge myself in academics and in lacrosse. I am open to all options and want to find the right college match for me.
