I began playing this life-changing game when I was just two years old. Soccer has far surpassed all other sports I have played and remains my favorite sport. I have two brothers. They have helped forge me into an extremely competitive person. I continually strive to elevate my skill set and those around me. I have learned to always work hard especially through trying times. With the combination of my work ethic and competitive drive, I believe I will be a great fit on your team.
As a freshman, I made the Junior Varsity team. I made varsity sophomore and junior year (this year) where we qualified for open division playoffs . On top of playing high school and club soccer, I am also a track and cross-country runner. However, winning Flight One Academy in California South last year has been the highlight of my soccer career.
To get to where I am today, I had to overcome one fault to my game. I was fairly quiet on the field and I decided I did not want to be that kind of player. I began to speak up even more at practice and in games and through my practice of communication, I was voted captain by my team three years in a row.
I am looking for a program that will be an equilibrium of athletics and academics. Playing college soccer will give me lifelong social and leadership skills. Obtaining a higher education from a respected academic institution is important to me. The combination of skills learned through sports and strong academics will allow me to be a well-rounded, contributing member of the work force.
