When I think about lacrosse, two things come to mind; family and growth. Being on a lacrosse team has shown me how people of all backgrounds can bond and work as a team. I love being a team player and in my mind, assists rank higher than goals. Lacrosse wouldn't be fun without the challenges, and the growth that comes from them. Being able to be pushed to your limits, having to figure out the best choice in a split second when it comes to either playing defense or running the ball down the field, is what truly gives me a rush. I picked up my first lacrosse stick in 5th grade in Virginia and I loved it. I hated being so new at the sport but I knew that the longer I kept playing, the better I would get at it. And I did! COVID interrupted lacrosse for a while but I resumed playing my 7th Grade year with the Rocky Mountain Rattlers and joined my first club team, Team 91 Colorado.
Throughout my college experience, I want to study neuroscience and behavioral mental health in hopes of becoming an therapist or a psychologist. I'm quick on my feet, quick to learn new things, and I am not afraid to ask questions. When I put my mind to something, I want to not only be able to do it correctly but to the best of my ability.
