Ever since a young age, I have had a love for sports. I have played many sports, yet I have developed an unmatched love for the sport of lacrosse. When I was 13, I moved from a small town in Arkansas to Richmond Hill, Georgia. My principal sport was softball, but I needed something to keep me in shape during the off-season. My parents mentioned lacrosse; it accompanied lots of running and seemed straightforward. However, I knew from the moment I played my first lacrosse game that it was more than just another sport. I began continuously practicing in the yard, working on perfecting my throwing and catching. Fast forward two years, and I am starting on varsity at the high school level. Each day I look forward to getting out on the field and perfecting my imperfections. While my personal game is important, my team is also a critical aspect of the game. I put trust into my teammates when they need someone to believe in them, and they do the same for me. Even when we lose, we pick each other up and fix our mistakes at practice. Positive energy, a team, and more learning experiences are what I am hoping to find by playing lacrosse at the collegiate level.
