Personal Statement
So far, the most notable moment in my high school career has been my nomination for the 2019 Girls Lacrosse Chicago Metro Conference All-Conference. Although that was my most notable moment, I believe I grew the most during my Summer 2019, when I officially joined my first club/travel team. Throughout that summer, I gained the ability to accurately assess the lacrosse field during games, obtain both a leadership role and reliance on my team, identify my interest in playing lacrosse at a collegiate level, and grow as both an athlete and a student, as I was enrolled in a summer academics program during the same time.
Academically, I have been an A/B Honor Roll student for as long as I can remember. In the class setting, I am a very prompt and determined student, with the view of being a Top Scholar in my future. Along with my academics, I participate in a number of clubs and organizations, them being: University of Chicago Collegaite Scholars, Student Government, and Joffrey Dance, to list a few. As well as looking for a college that fits my needs lacrosse-wise, I am interested in college that caters to my academic needs.
I have been playing lacrosse for about 3 years now, dating all the way back to April 2017. I currently play at my school for the Spring seasons and a club team for the Summer and Fall seasons. I was inducted into playing lacrosse with no idea what the sport was or with the fact that soon, this sport would be my keepsake. These past 3 years and through the 3+ seasons, I have gained the value of commitment, time management, ambition, and leadership, regardless of the award. Gathering all the attributes I have gained through both my school years and lacrosse seasons, I believe I obtain the characteristics to be an amazing student-athlete addition to your team!
