Personal Statement
As being accepted into Kenwood Academy’s Academy Center, taking many programs at Chicago Architecture Foundation, and being inducted into the National Junior Honor Society, I am truly blessed. I come from a south side Chicago neighborhood where I am a dream not a reality. My chicago public school took a chance with lacrosse, we could not afford it in our budget so our 7th grade science teacher made a club team where the parents pay for most of it. Many people thought I was weird for playing lacrosse but I fell in love. In my first season Spring 2017, I was terrible but passionate. I carried that passion and added skill to Spring 2018 where I was the starter defender for the winning team of the IGLA youth fest, winning all of our games, 5-0. After winning the tournament, I was inspired and I plan on taking my inspiration to go Division I collegiate level and attending a school with a stellar architecture program and a terrific lacrosse team.
