Fall 2015 KatieCh...Personal Statement
I work as hard in the classroom as I do on the field.
I am a 3 sport athlete and have aspirations to play lacrosse at a high level in college. I can play any position, but I'm best at middie because I'm extremely fast, aggressive and have a lot of endurance. I take the draw and am ferocious on defense. I'm in my 7th year playing lacrosse and am currently playing for both 3D New England and the NH Tomahawks. I have good leadership skills and have been a captain in lacrosse, basketball and field hockey.
At the Derryfield School I am a member of the Key Club, Spirit Club and One Love Club. Last year I was Class Treasurer and a member of the National Junior Honor Society. I help coach Rec Basketball for 2nd and 3rd graders and Youth Lacrosse in my town. I'm also Captain for the Lady Outlaws Relay for Life Team and have helped to raise close to $20,000 for the American Cancer Society.
