2018 HighlightsPersonal Statement
I am currently a junior at Wissahickon High School. I strive to do my best on and off the field. In addition to lacrosse, I play varsity field hockey and swim for my school. As a multi-sport athlete, I have learned the importance of communication, teamwork, perseverance, and hard-work. I am always there to support my teammates on and off the field. I push my teammates to be better at whatever they want to accomplish. I have played lacrosse for almost 9 years now, and it is my favorite sport! I want to continue my lacrosse career through high school and on into college. In addition to all of the hard work I put into lacrosse, I have the same work ethic with my studies, taking primarily AP and Honors courses. I know what it takes to make the commitment to play in college as I have watched my cousin compete at the highest level and win the 2017 NCAA Men's Lacrosse Championship and the 2017 Tewaaraton Award.
I have had many amazing experiences this past summer playing at the National Tournament, Stony Brook, NY representing Philly Team #2 and at the National Lacrosse Classic, Frederica DE representing Pennsylvania as well as all of the tournaments with my club team this summer. I love every aspect of the game and am proud to say that I play this awesome sport!

- ActivitiesWISS Pals: WISS Pals is a student run club that strives to socially integrate regular education students with the autistic support and life skills students during after school activities. The group continues to provide opportunities for socialization with positive peer relationships which leads to self-confidence, great self-esteem, and communication skills! Live Like Blaine Leadership Conference: The Live Like Blaine Foundation was created in memory of Blaine Steinberg, an athlete and leader both on and off the field who died suddenly in 2014. Our mission is to empower and inspire young women to become leaders through fitness and athletics. We created the FIT TO LEAD program which creates a Leadership Circle for girls to gain the leadership skills that are so important on the field and in life. One of the key components of the program is this unique leadership conference for high school girls. The foundation also partners with the Julie Foudy Sports Leadership Academy (http://www.juliefoudyleadership.com) to send student athletes to this residential camp for one week in the summer, and Harlem Lacrosse (http://www.harlemlacrosse.org/mission/) to bring its program to two middle schools in Philadelphia specifically for girls.
