I am deeply passionate about pursuing excellence in both my academic and rowing careers. I discovered rowing before my freshman year after a friend introduced me to the sport, and from the very first day of summer conditioning before the season started, I fell in love with it. This experience was transformative for me, as I had tried many sports in the past—swimming, soccer, basketball, and volleyball—but none resonated with me the way rowing does.

Rowing has taught me to push my limits, testing both my physical strength and mental resilience. During and after the season, I find that maintaining a clear and focused mindset enables me to make rapid progress and achieve personal milestones. Beyond individual growth, I am a team player and a natural leader, always striving to bring positivity and encouragement to those around me. Whether it’s hyping up my teammates during practice or stepping up when leadership is needed, I am committed to contributing to a strong, supportive team culture.

What sets me apart as a recruit is my well-roundedness and dedication to growth in all areas of my life. I am an honors student with high academic achievement, a member of my school choir, and an active participant in Northern Regionals and upcoming State competitions. Additionally, I find fulfillment in serving my community through volunteer work at my church. These diverse experiences have shaped me into a disciplined, driven, and compassionate individual ready to excel both in the classroom and on the water.
