Baseball teaches everything, and that's a fact. Every time I step over the chalk lines, I take it as an opportunity to grow as an individual. The lessons I have learned from my coaches, playing the game, and watching my favorite players cannot be taught anywhere else. This game has taught me how to persevere, how to have confidence in myself, how to learn from my mistakes, and how to be a better man. I wish to continue to play this game in my college career not just because I believe I have the skills to pursue it further, but I am not done learning from it yet. I want to attend a college that will push me to become the best scholar, athlete, and person that I can be.
I have stated what baseball means to me. Allow me to state what I will mean to my college team. I will do what I have done on every team since little league and that is to lead with the best of my abilities, to work hardest, to play smartest, and to be the best teammate on and off the field. The feedback I have received from coaches so far in my career includes the following: disruptive and aggressive baserunner, explosive bat, one of the hardest HS hitters, quick bat speed that just can not be taught, quick-twitch defensively, and great first jump and tracking in the outfield.
