Hello Coaches,
My name is Lily Frohnhoefer. I started rowing in the summer before my first year of high school. I got into rowing because I wanted to get involved in high school. I have been kayaking since I was 7, and I wanted to do a similar sport, which led me to rowing. Since I started rowing, I always wanted to continue the playing sport that I love in college. Some of the skills that I have in rowing is that I can do sweep rowing on both port and starboard and I can also skull. I have rowed in many regattas in various boat classes such as eights, doubles, and mostly, fours.
Rowing has taught me many different things. It has taught me how to be a good teammate. I try to be a good teammate by being encouraging, having good communication, and giving feedback if my teammates ask. Rowing has also taught me how to be determined and never give up. But, most importantly, rowing has taught me how to manage being a student-athlete and making sure that I don't slack off in the classroom. I try to maintain a high GPA in the classroom.
I want to attend a college where I can continue being a student-athlete. I want to find a school where I can be competitive athletically while also finding a good environment for my education. I hope that I can be a good addition to your team in the future!
