Laney Bishop '22 Recruiting Profile

I am an AP student maintaining a 4.5 GPA and am ranked 3rd of 73 in my class. My work ethic is something of which I am most proud. I travel 2 hours 3X per week to practice in Birmingham during club season. I am a very dedicated and hard-working person on and off the field. In club soccer, I am currently playing in SCCL league. My previous teams have won multiple D1 State Championships and I have attended the SE Regional Championships in NC. I also played on the AL ODP team playing at 2020 Inter Regional's Memphis where we beat 2 other state teams and tied one. I have played on a local winter indoor soccer league and several 3v3 teams (we won regionals 2X and placed 5th nationally in WWS Disney 3v3 World Championships in Orlando).  This winter and summer I trained 2 local '08 players 2 days a week and assisted my dad coaching his '08 Alabama Rush girls team. I can see me being a coach at some level in my future. 

I enjoy training on my own and started a YouTube Channel to train other players  during 2020 quarantine. My goal is to play for a Div 1 or Div 2 team in my college career while studying to go into Orthopedics or sports medicine. I will use academic and if possible athletic scholarships to achieve my degree. I have a can-do, winning attitude and am a very fast learner. I can see the field of play and can make a difference with any team of which I am a part. I look forward to telling you how I can make a difference with your team!
