My name is Elena Matos I am sophomore at Holy Spirit High School, but I transferred to Tuscaloosa Academy at end of my sophomore year. I am motivated to be successful both athletically and academically. My athletic accomplishments began with gymnastics at the age of six (6). Progressed to participation in competitive gymnastic. I have been playing soccer since 2019 and truly love the sport. Currently play on Tuscaloosa United Team in 2020 and the fall of 2021. Also, play on the Ho.ly Spirit High School Varsity team for three (3) years. My primary position is right wing but have also played midfield.
At Holy Spirit I maintain A/B grades in honor classes. I have successfully placed first in several academic fair competitions. My interest for higher education would be to attend a university that would offer a Pre Law major. Currently a member of the National Honors Society and past member of National Junior Honors Society. I am a member of Civinettes of Tuscaloosa.
Truly love the sport of soccer which teaches and reinforces dedication, teamwork and leadership skills. I feel I have very strong athletic ability and will continue to advance my skills. Being accepted to play at the college level is the goal I am focusing on for the remainder of my high school years.
Thank you,
Elena Matos
