Sloane Crocker '26 Recruiting Profile

Coachable. This is the word that each one of my coaches has used to describe me, ever since I began playing soccer at the age of five. Though as a young player I often struggled to understand this word, I now realize that it is a great compliment and perfectly encapsulates  who I am when I lace up my cleats and step out onto the field. I will always be the player to soak up coaches’ feedback and watch game tape, then put in the work to apply my knowledge and improve. And I can undoubtedly say that I will always put one hundred and ten percent into every game, every practice, every touch on the ball. In addition, one of my greatest coaches told me that I have incredible off the ball awareness, as I am always present and engaged on the field, always striving to better understand and control the game. So “coachable” may be just one word, yet it is the epitome of all things Sloane- an endless drive to improve, a willingness to reflect upon myself as well as receive feedback, and an unbreakable focus. And that is what separates me from the pack.
