Personal Statement

I want to play on a high level team and compete against other highly competitive teams while being challenged academically. I am a strong student and will continue with my honors and IB classes throughout my high school years while continuing to stay in National Honors Society.  I strive to be better at everything I do both academically and with soccer. I am fully committed to this sport while also being able to manage my time and work hard in school. I get touches on the ball everyday and I go out and play soccer because I genuinely enjoy playing the game and furthering my skills and strength. I am a mentally strong player and have the desire to progress. I want to bring everything I have to a team and learn from the other players there. I am a starter on both my club team (Santa Cruz Breakers) and my high school team (Scotts Valley High Varsity), while also on the Norcal PDP team. I am also a leader in my soccer community and if I have an opportunity to show my skill or improve, I will take it. I am a physical player while understanding the game so I can be in the right spot to support and set up my teammates. My footwork, technical skills, and quickness help me up top to defeat defenders and put the ball in the back of the net. I play on a high level team and am competitive both with sports and academics. I have the determination and skills that can lead to one day playing on a college soccer team that is a good fit for me. I am fully committed to this sport while also being able to manage my time and work hard in school. Still being early in the college recruiting process, I am excited for what's to come and to add more training and game videos to show my improvement for coaches to view.
