Personal Statement
Hello, my name is Scott Edwards and I am a dedicated and motivated runner. Every season I set high goals that I wish to achieve, and through my hard work and training every day, I have been able to achieve these goals. This pattern continued and just this past Junior Cross Country season I had a goal of placing in the top 15 at state. Not only did I achieve my goal, I greatly surpassed it taking home 5th place. I always set goals for both long term and short term and do my best to not only achieve them, but surpass them. One of my highest goals is that I will be a competitive runner and student in college while earning a degree in the field of Engineering. I am doing my best to make this come true by taking IB courses, and running every day. I have been elected captain of the Cross Country and Track team for my senior season, and am looking forward to leading our team to a successful year.
