My name is Antonella Sanchez. I am a high school student at Western High in Davie, Florida, and I expect to graduate in 2025. I am an active member of the Sunrise Sting Soccer Club 2007 NPL team, based in Sunrise, Florida, under the guidance of Coach Timothy Smith.
I've been playing soccer since I was 8 when I started playing with my parents' friends and older brother. I quickly realized I loved the game, and my parents enrolled me in recreational soccer in our city. I played on both girls' and coed teams, and in middle school, I made the school team. In high school, I started playing on the varsity team as a freshman. I'm now a junior in the Class of 2025, changed schools, and made it to Junior Varsity; after my first game, my coach asked me to join their Varsity Team, too.
I was born in Florida, but my family is from Peru, Argentina, and Colombia. They're all soccer lovers, and they passed their passion for soccer on to me. I speak Spanish and English fluently, and I have a 3.7 GPA.
I'm passionate about soccer, and I'm eager to continue my athletic career. I'm also a hard worker, and I'm confident I can achieve my goals. I'm excited to see what the future holds for me.
