Xiana Mahealani Pang-Abas (17 years old) is a determined student athlete that gives 110% on the field and in her academics. In high school, she was elected as the school’s Secretary (junior year) and Vice President (senior year) graduating with a 3.9 cumulative GPA. In 2017, She help lead her high school varsity soccer team to semi’s in the Hawaii State Soccer Tournament. Back on Oahu, she played for Honolulu Surf Soccer Club and Honolulu Bulls Soccer Club, both competitive traveling soccer clubs. In college, she will be majoring in Business Management focused in Accounting. As a soccer player, she leads her team by being an available option in the midfield. She is able to dribble around players and use her knowledge to find the through balls to her forwards. As an attacking midfielder, she is always one step ahead of the play, knowing when to attack and defend. She isn’t afraid to attack forward, but also going backwards to slow the pace of the game and build momentum for her team. Rarely will you ever see Xiana with her head down and walking. She is always on the move, checking to balls and trying to find the best way to score and attack in the midfield. As a freshmen captain on the Lassen Varsity Soccer Team, she is strengthening her leadership on and off the field. In the future, Xiana is determined to play Division 1 or 2 soccer in the state of California.
