Jared Sakai '24 Recruiting Profile

I fell in love with soccer when I first kicked a ball, and it has been an incredible journey to make it to where I am today. Scoring is something that can never bore me no matter how it happens. I am a multi position player who likes to join up in the attack whenever possible. It took me a while to realize how good I could be if I pushed myself to do so and all that work has brought me to where I am today and I don’t regret a single bit of it. Last year I got pulled up to my club premier team after being on our second level team for a short while and it has really changed me as an overall player and a person. It took some work to make it on but in the end, it paid off. Last year I made the Interscholastic League of Honolulu All Star first team as a sophomore and this year I made the Division II all state tournament team. One of my favorite accomplishments is scoring the winning goal in the championship game in the USYS Mountain Pacific Regionals for my club team when I was 11 year old.  I remember the feeling when it happened, and this made me realize how much potential I have.
