I have always had a dream of playing High School and College soccer. I worked hard to achieve my goals for High School, and now I am looking forward to finding the right college to achieve my athletic and academic goals. As an athlete and as a student, I demand a lot from myself. I also expect the same level of commitment from my teammates, classmates, coaches, and teachers. I have been lucky enough to have a successful soccer program at my High School that is competitive and pushes me to be at my best. I want to attend a college that does the same and allows me to grow as a student athlete, and as a person.
One of the things I have learned from my time on the field, is that there is a time for learning and a time for leading. As an underclassman it was all about learning the program and absorbing knowledge. I learned to respect my teammates that had come before me and work to keep pace with them. I tried to learn all I could from them and their experience. Now that I am an upperclassman, I find that one of my great passions is being a leader for the younger girls. I want them to know what it takes to be successful and push themselves for their sake and to benefit the team as well. I also want them to be able to ask questions and be confident in themselves, even if that means they will compete with me for a position on the field. If helping them means that someone is a better fit for a game, I will encourage them, cheer them on, and see what I can learn from them. Afterwards, I will go out the next practice and push myself even harder to be better and lead others to be better as well. I always want to know what I can do to better my team, my classrooms and myself. I am ready to make an impact on your team and your school!
