My name is Adrianna Rotondi, and I am extremely interested in playing D1 soccer and furthering my education after I graduate from high school in 2020. I started playing soccer when I was three years-old, and I fell in love with the sport. I always knew that I wanted to play competitive college soccer, and I am determined to reach my goals.
I started playing for the Eclipse Select Soccer Club when I was U11. I have been a member of the ECNL Pool from 2014-present, and I have been a starter since I first came to the club. I am a good candidate for D1 college soccer because I play multiple positions with the same skill and love for the game. I play both outside midfielder and forward, and I work extremely hard at both positions.
My aspirations for college are simple, I want to play college soccer at a D1 school where I can also work to thrive in the veterinary field.
I have always been a natural leader in both my soccer team and in school. In 2013, I was awarded with the MVP award at my previous soccer club, the Bartlett Hawks. I also attended the Notre Dame Summer Camp Tournament in 2015, and was a champion of the tournament with over 10 goals. In 2016, my Eclipse Team won the Illinois President's Cup Tournament, where I contributed 4 goals. We then won the President's Cup Region II Tournament that year, where I scored the winning goal during the final game in the 22nd second of play. I also was tied for 10th in the rankings of top 10 goal-scorers. After this win, we went to the President's Cup Nationals in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where we received fourth place. This year, my team attended the 2017 State Cup Region II Championships, where I contributed 4 goals and 3 assists. I tied for 6th place in the ranking of top goal-scorers this year. I am different from other recruits because I never stop working hard, and I never give up. Whenever I mess up on the field, I will constantly look to make improvements. I am always positive when on the field, and I help to push my teammates to be the best that they can be.
From an academic standpoint, I am also extremely different from other recruits. I attend St. Francis College Preparatory High School in Wheaton, Illinois. During both Freshman and Sophomore year, I achieved Straight A's and High Honor Roll during both semesters. I am in all-honors classes, and I constantly strive to make myself the best student possible. My GPA is a 5.2/5.0, and I am ranked 2nd out of 177 students. I am also in 10 different clubs and activities at school, and most of these clubs required applications. Finally, I love taking part in service opportunities because I want to make a difference in the world and in the lives of people.
I believe that I stand out compared to other recruits because I never stop working. I have been able to excel in both the soccer and academic areas, and I bring character into everything that I do.
