Ava Schier '25 Recruiting Profile

My Name is Ava Schier and I will be a 2025 Graduate at Conner High School in Hebron Kentucky, coached by Mike Hughes. During my time at Conner , I worked as a freshman to become a varsity Starter. I played Offensive and Defensive Midfield during the 2022/early 2023 season.  I was selected to the Region 9 District Tournament team. My Club team for 2023 will be the Kings Hammer ECRL Cincinnati 07 Team based out of Covington Kentucky. For Club I play offensive and defensive midfield, I have also been known to take some time as striker or on the wing as well. 

I am currently rehabbing from an ACL injury in early 2023. I am 4 months post op and I am already cleared to run and jump. I am working with a return to play coach and a strength and conditioning coach 4 times a week. I am dedicated to returning to soccer stronger than when I left. I am working with the right people to make sure i do this safely.  I recently updated my video from right before my injury so you can see exactly how I was playing at that time. I pride myself in my field vision and love to be a playmaker. 

My love for the game of soccer is like nothing I have ever experienced before. I have been playing since I was 7 years old. Soccer is an amazing sport that allows me to use my skills and athletic abilities. Playing on these teams have also helped me to make friends and people that I consider family. I always feel supported on my teams and we all strive to work harder to be a successful team.

I would like to go to school for veterinary or Biology. 

IIn my years of schooling I have always worked hard to be the best academically, to strive to be a double threat with sports and academics.  My last term i received a 4.8 GPA for the term and that included taking dual credit college classes. I will continue to strive as a player and a student and with that I should be able to play and learn at the school of my choice.
