Kayleigh Wilmot '27 Recruiting Profile

My name is Kayleigh Wilmot, a Canadian and American citizen living in Duluth, Minnesota. I am very interested in making a positive contribution to your soccer program. My future aspirations include going to university to further my education and being a starter on your premier soccer team.  

Having played soccer for more than 11 years, I have developed strong technical skills and excellent game awareness. As an attacking midfielder, I have a strong desire to score that has allowed me to score multiple game winning goals. My favorite was an olympico, scored in the final of USA cup soccer tournament. I also enjoy creating plays and scoring opportunities. I have played in numerous central positions; such versatility has developed my defensive abilities and enhanced my game awareness.

I actively seek opportunities to inspire my teammates, providing motivation and positive reinforcement throughout the game. I lead by example on the field, through my continual hard work and desire to compete, setting a high standard for others to follow. Additionally, I contribute to my team every game by being vocal on the field, communicating with my teammates, problem solving and continually displaying a positive.

As a student athlete I take pride in both my academics and athletics, and continue to maintain a 4.0 GPA, while also competing as a multi-sport athlete. Although soccer will always be main focus, I also play competitive volleyball which has helped to improve my reaction time and develop transferable athletic skills.
