Personal Statement
Ever since the first time I played soccer at age four, there hasn't been anything else I've wanted to do more. Every time I step on the field, my passion for soccer continues to grow. As a young kid, being able to play for my hometown's team meant so much me. Making it to the state championship three times consecutively for my club team and not winning one championship helped me realize how much I kept wanting to get better so I would eventually be able to win one. As a freshman, my high school team got second in the Minnesota State Soccer Tournament. Once again, I did not wina championship, but from these experiences, I learned that there is so much more to soccer than just kicking a ball and winning titles. It is a sport that builds character, builds relationships, and teaches the value of teamwork, dedication, and sacrifice. As a player, I am tenacious, always ready to work my hardest, and I communicate endlessly. At every practice, workout, and game, I give my all, pushing myself and my teammates to be the best they can be. Keeping a positive environment and making the game better everyday is something I hope to keep doing for as long as possible. I aspire to play collegiate soccer to continue to grow as a person and a player.
