Personal Statement

My name is Darby Everhart and I am a 5'2 defensive midfielder from Great Falls, MT. I have 11 years experience of playing for my home town rush team and 3 years experience playing for CMR high school. These past two years I was a varsity starter for my high school and a team captain for my travel team. I have previously done MDP for Montana and have gotten Academic All State for all 3 years of playing at CMR. I also have a 3.91 GPA and have a lot of volunteer experience. Soccer has been a huge part of my life since I was very young. This sport has brought me up and taught me a lot over the years and I hope to continue learning from soccer. Since I was little I have played in many different positions and learned the way of the field. My coaches have told me that I am very good at seeing the whole field and I believe this is because I have played in many different positions so I know what is happening around me, because of this I am a very good fit for center mid. In this spot you need to be aware of what is around you and I believe I can do that. I am truly dedicated to this sport as I have tried other sports but continue to come back to soccer season after season. I also work hard in the gym during the off season and attend as many camps as I can. When I am looking at colleges I would like to stay near my home state of Montana or the North-West part of the states. I am pretty open and willing to go to any school in that area, but I would prefer a smaller or medium sized school. I am open to any division and hope to find the right one for me. My goal is to major in either exercise science or athletic training. I hope to continue playing the sport I love at a higher level and to form bonds along the way. I hope to leave a mark and to know that I tried my best everyday.
