Mattaya Villegas '26 Recruiting Profile

On the field I am extremely driven and give 110% every time I play. I started soccer when I was 4 years old and I really started to love it when I joined a club team. Soccer has always been a safe place for me, and it's given me another family. I bring a lot of energy onto the field, love to support my teammates and try to always help them improve. I always make sure if there is something that I need feedback on, that I ask and I make sure to work on it both in practice and during games.

When I'm off the field I hold my grades even during the spiral of soccer season. After practice, I make sure to finish all my homework and study for upcoming classes and do work that I missed because of a soccer game. I currently have a 3.4 GPA, but my goal is to get a 3.5.
