As a young man in Ghana my Father was very good at soccer, he won many accolades and even had the opportunity to play at a professional level. But instead he chose to migrate to the United States with my Mother in hopes of creating a better life for his future family. Which is why he put me in soccer at the age of 6 so that he could live his dream through me. Unfortunately, my father was diagnosed with brain cancer when I was in 8th grade, and passed away 2 years later. This took a huge toll on how I viewed soccer as an athlete. Soccer became a place for me to escape; an outlet for my emotions. It was no longer just a game, it became my passion. At this point I knew I wanted to play soccer at a collegiate level in order to carry out my father's legacy. This caused me to become very competitive, determined, and driven not only on the field but as a student, maintaining A’s and B’s. While at the same time being involved in the Environmental club, Leo club, Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA), and Chamber choir. One of my main goals for college is to get accepted into a school that offers a DPT program, so that I can become a Doctor of Physical Therapy. As a Physical Therapist I can fulfill one of my goals which is to help minorities rehabilitate from their injuries. Another one of my goals is to become a collegiate athlete so that I can develop and display my athletic abilities while carrying on my father's legacy.
