Adyson O'Donnell '27 Recruiting Profile

My name is Adyson O’Donnell, and I am in the graduating class of 2027. My first memory of playing soccer was learning how to kick a soccer ball with my brother in the backyard when I was 3 years old. He was a great goalie and taught me how and where to shoot to get it passed him and into the net. This is when I fell in love with the game of soccer. Every moment since this has been spent working to improve at the game I love. This is why I will be successful at the next level; my passion is innate and ever growing.

As a soccer player, I am very confident with the ball at my feet and my speed is a threat to any defense. I have great vision and touch on the ball to make strong passes to my teammates. I can score using both feet although I am a very strong lefty which has allowed me to lead both my school team and club team in goals. I genuinely love seeing my teammates succeed on and off the pitch and always celebrate their successes. I work hard to improve, and I am always pushing myself to be better than I was yesterday. This is true not only in soccer but in all aspects of my life.

Academically, I am looking for a program that not only allows me to achieve my soccer dreams but also will afford me the education to achieve my career goal in becoming a professional in the legal field. I have been on the honor roll or merit roll every quarter of my middle school career and look forward to continuing my academic success when I move into high school this coming fall.

Soccer is my joy, my escape from the day-to-day, and what I was born to do. The pitch is where I feel most comfortable and the most like myself. I am very determined to achieve my life’s goals and I will continue working hard to make my dreams become a reality.
