Katherine Murphy '24 Recruiting Profile

I have been playing club soccer for the last ten years for Gold Coast FC, and have been a starter on the Herricks HS varsity soccer team since freshman year, playing fullback and defensive midfield.  This past year, I was named All-Conference for Herricks HS at the fullback position.   

Soccer and my education are where I have dedicated my time throughout high school, and I am seeking the opportunity to play the game that I love in an academically competitive liberal arts school.   

My best attributes are my work ethic and competitive spirit, which have enabled me to develop my passing and defensive skills over the years and have also been a cornerstone to my academic achievements.  Soccer is the ultimate team game and I believe that my passing / defensive skills have been a key component to the success of the teams that I have played on.   And I also feel that my abilities have really become more evident in recent years as I have gained increased confidence in my play.   

My greatest hope is to be able to continue to grow my skills and to be viewed as an essential teammate for a soccer team that is successful in all aspects.
