Sydney Wober '20 Recruiting Profile

         I want to continue my soccer career and pursue my dreams of becoming a college soccer player. i have played soccer for 9 years and travel for 6. I started on a travel team in my hometown in Lumberton, NC on a team called the LRSA Gunners. This fall season was my first time playing with AC Sandhills Travel team in Southern Pines, NC.  I played on the 02 and 01 team. I received a mild concussion and at one of my games and was out for 4 weeks. I went back playing and had a tournament the next weekend and took a hard hit to the head with a girls elbow going towards goal and received my second concussion in 2 months. I couldn't finish the season and it was very hard to not be able to finish and couldn't even attend practices to see my teammates. Having this injury just pushed me more to achieve my goals. I am very excited to say i can play this spring season on my high schools varsity soccer team.
