Personal Statement

I love being a goalkeeper. It gives me a unique perspective on the game, and enables me to make a real difference for the team.

One of my favourite things about my club team, the Flamborough-Dundas Soccer Club is how well we support one another, coach one another, and enjoy playing together. This team had one of the best records in our division, with 7 tournament wins, 4 tournament finalists, 2 league championships, and 1 cup champions.

Two years ago, I was selected to attend the Ontario Soccer Talent on Location Day at the Ontario Soccer Centre, with a group of peers which included OPDL, provincial and National team players.

This summer, I was proud to be called up to the Ontario Provincial Development League to play for the Hamilton Forge OPDL team.

I am a multi-sport athlete; I play tennis at a high level, ranked 30 in Women's Open in Ontario; 79 in Women's Open in Canada.

2022 Burlington Central High School Junior Girls Athlete of the Year.

I also play recreationally on my school teams: volleyball and basketball.

I have two part time jobs: leading kids' programming at the YMCA and coaching junior tennis at my local tennis club, and I volunteer on my school's Athletic Council and graduation committee.

I am a solid student, pursuing a French Immersion Certificate, currently taking University-level courses in Mathematics and Biology, with an 80% average.

Training

  • Multi sport training
  • 10 years
  • I am a multi sport athlete and excel at multiple sports. I play HS varsity soccer, tennis, basketball and volleyball. Being a multi-sport athlete has had several benefits for me. Playing multiple sports improved my overall athleticism, developed different muscles, increased my flexibility and enhanced my movement, all of which have been helpful as progress in sport. The main reason that I pursued a multi-sport pathway was that multi-sport athletes are generally healthier than single-sport athletes and have a lower injury risk. Thankfully both those were true for me I have been injury free for my whole career I have missed very few matches or training sessions due to injury,
  • Speed Training
  • 1 year
  • I am doing weekly speed training with a renowned trainer that has worked with many pro teams including Hamilton Forge! Faster, Higher, Stronger!
