Amy Gonzalez Rios '20 Recruiting Profile

I come from a small town in western Oregon where the women’s soccer team for Forest Grive High School just about crosses the line for competing in the 6A division. Yes, we haven’t won much titles but one thing we have won is the value of teamwork and commitment. Not being able to gain any trophy’s for our schools famous hall of fame has set my goals for my future and re-focus myself on becoming a midfield player at a college level. 

     Titles never define a person. That’s a statement i will forever treasure because I believe someone is much more capable of achieving any goal they set their mind to, than just a recognition. Just like my high school career, our team left everything out in the field but some things don’t always go your way. Losing all those soccer games only has put me in a position to gain optimism, vulnerability, and ambition for the next state tournament.
