Jaclyn Wood '15 Recruiting Profile

Hello! My name is Jaclyn Wood and I am currently a junior at Palmerton Area High School in Palmerton, PA. I've been playing Varsity Soccer since freshman year. I always loved soccer, but wasn't very competitve in it until my sophomore year in high school. For example, I tried out for the preimer level for the first time ever back in 2012. Currently, I play on the U17-U18 Girl's Keystone Athletic Preimer Team. I have been playing on this team for almost two years now, and I absolutely love it! In the summer I also play on a U20 Women's team. This is a great opportunity to play at the next level, that is the college level of course! During this summer league, I verse players from ages 17-20.  Last year I was the youngest player on our U20 Team, I was sixteen. Even so, I proved to everyone I could play with the older girls! 

I am a very versatile player! I play anywhere coach needs me to play! I do enjoy central mid the most! 

I was recently recognized for my academic and athletic achievements. I was awarded the Philadelphia Union League's Good Citizenship Award by the Eastern Pennsylvania Youth soccer Association. 

My main goal this upcoming high school soccer season is to be team captain. I believe I exemplify good leadership skills and I am a team-player. I want to see my team succeed and continue to improve. This year we are getting a brand new coach as well, so it is my goal to get my team prepared to work with the new coach and to work their hardest to reach Districts!

I have many more goals set for my future and one of them involves being a part of your soccer team in college. I believe I can be a fantastic asset to your team because I am always eager to learn and to improve. I also am willing to play any field position you may need me to play in. I would appreciate your time and consideration and I hope to one day be a member of your team!
