Kadence Madraga '25 Recruiting Profile

My collegiate goal is to play soccer at a highly competitive level while exceeding academically. I aspire to be in an environment that not only challenges me as a soccer player but allows me to grow as an individual. 

As a midfielder, I am very confident in my technical ability and spacial awareness. I have attained abilities which allow me to be a visionary player for my team that can make key passes and create opportunities going forward. Midfield is a very diverse position which also allows me to excel anywhere on the field. I am flexible to play as a wing, fullback or centre-back. Alongside this, I am extremely knowledgeable in tactics. I pride myself in my ability to know my role, and being able to adapt to new ones as the game goes on. I have an extremely high work rate, I will be the player who makes the end-to-end recovery run or the first face you see in the box. I am a leader. Being in midfield, it is a must for communication. I have a strong voice that helps direct and lift up my teammates, but also keeps them locked into the game. 

What sets me apart from other recruits is that I am a quick learner, adaptable and extremely coachable. I am able to convert feedback into a reality. Along with these qualities, I am resilient and respectful no matter the circumstance. Playing soccer can always be tough, I have the mental toughness to overcome obstacles and challenges within the game. I am very courteous to my coaches and teammates. No matter the situation, my teammates and coaches can always count on me. 

Academically, I am strong. I am able to successfully balance high-performance soccer while achieving Honours with Distinction and a 4.0 GPA. I am dedicated, and determined and am willing to do the hard work and sacrifice that it takes to reach my goals of academics and soccer performance.
