To put it simply, soccer is a beautiful sport. Soccer not only connects teammates, but it connects the entire world. Wherever you find yourself, soccer is there and alive. I have aspirations, like most other kids in my position, to become the best player and person I can be. I aspire to become a collegiate athlete and maximize my potential as a soccer player while earning my degree. Soccer has taught me that when my physical and mental toughness is challenged I am able to continue pushing, even when my body says no. That obsession with the game fuels the voice in my head that says "try one more time." But, it's not only that, I crave to learn more and more about soccer every day.
My vision as a student and athlete is found through my want and drive to continue succeeding in both versions of myself, in the classroom and on the field. Academics have always been a big part of who I am. The more I learn, whether it's when I'm sitting at my desk doing homework or listening to a coach talk about the tactics used in a game, I have always wanted to continue strengthening my focus, skill, and mind.
I am extremely coachable, and I am a firm believer that my ability to take criticism has helped me overcome my biggest obstacles and helps me to continue to grow and make gains. I absolutely love to lead, and I take leadership very seriously. When I lead on the field, I want to have a good influence on every single teammate. To not only be able to continue pushing them, but to also support them. The bonds I make with my teammates is invaluable and is such an important part of a team. I look forward to finding that match with a College and a team!
