Cassidy Gordon '26 Recruiting Profile

Hi! I'm Cassidy Gordon and a freshman at Great Bridge High School in Chesapeake, Virginia. I've been playing soccer since I was 4, and I've been dedicated to the position for over 4 years. I was the starting JV keeper as an 8th grader, and as a freshman I was a starting JV keeper and was pulled up to play Varsity and for the Virginia State Finals. Currently, I'm the starting goalkeeper for my club team (Beach FC ECRL 08'). 

If someone were to ask me how I see myself on and off the field, I would say I'm a passionate, motivated, and a determined person. I push myself to achieve good grades and be active in school. My academics are just as important to me as my athletics. My goal is to attend a college that will push me both academically, and athletically. 

In my opinion, communication is key to playing good soccer. As a goalie, I've been taught that I need to be the loudest on the team because I can see the entire field, and if you ask my teammates, they'll definitely agree that I am. I spend a lot of my time training or watching soccer to improve my skills, but I also enjoy just hanging out with my friends. I would consider my work ethic, communication, footwork, and my fearlessness in net to be some of my best qualities as a keeper.  I'm an exceptional teammate and am always positive towards my teammates. I'm a hardworking, easy going, coachable player that works well in new environments.
