In fifth grade, my school counselor began talking to students about career goals. At the age of 10, I wasn't sure what career path I was going to choose, but I knew I loved soccer. As I played soccer and watched soccer on television, I told myself I had to work harder than anyone else to be accepted into the college of my choice and play soccer at the collegiate level. I began participating in club soccer with recreation soccer mixed in-between. I wanted to make sure I filled every gap in my schedule with training and games so that I could compete with top players. As I moved up academically, I made the junior varsity soccer team as a starter in the 8th grade. My freshman year, I was a starter and the only freshman to make the varsity soccer team. I have continued to play varsity soccer, as a starter, my sophomore year and as a starter and team captain my junior year. On top of soccer, I played middle school football in 8th grade and JV football in 9th and 10th grade as the team kicker. I also participated in varsity swim my freshman, sophomore, and junior year. Participating in multiple sports has allowed me to continue strength training and remain in top shape. I set goals and accomplish them by making good choices and accepting guidance and support from those who care and believe in me the most. I have grown as a soccer player as well as an individual due to my commitment to academics and sports. I have found that my personality allows me to build relationships easily and my tough skin allows me to not be discouraged when things don't go as planned. I have been described as dedicated, hardworking, personable, a good listener, and a person that can provide laughter when needed. These character traits allow me to be a positive influence on my teammates on and off the field. As I continue to grow, I know I will only become a better person and player. I would love the opportunity to attend a college that embraces my personality, academic achievements, and athletic talents and allows me to be a part of a team that breaks records.
