I am a very driven soccer player. I’ve been playing soccer my whole life. From age 4, starting in hot-shots, and then playing rec soccer as a second grader, I fell in love with the sport. It’s brought me so close with my friends and has always been a special part of my life. Living close to the University of Virginia has afforded me many opportunities to watch college soccer games, and even meet several of the athletes. I have always wanted to be one of the girls playing out there and have known for a long time that I want to play when I get to college.
Off the field, I play basketball for fun. In the classroom, I am in all honors and AP classes. My Sports Medicine class has been my most interesting class and I could see myself pursuing a career in that field. I enjoy participating in several clubs including the Girls Who Code Club, Model UN, and Key Club. Through these clubs and other recreational activities, I've learned valuable leadership skills. During my summers I've worked at summer camps and enjoy working with children. I also volunteer in my club's "tot's and mini's" program, introducing a love of soccer to children ages 3-6.
I play for Charlottesville Alliance, Western Albemarle High School, and the Virginia ODP State Team. My freshman year of high school, I was captain of my JV team before being moved up to varsity mid-season. This year my high school team made it all the way to the state finals (4D). I am also currently one of the captains for the u17 ODP State Team. I really enjoy playing on more than one team because I’m exposed to different coaches and their unique styles. I’m one of the loudest on the field because communication along with teamwork can make the biggest difference in a team. Communication is very important to me. I have a strong work ethic and will always put in all my effort.
