My name is Riley Brodrick and I am a rising Senior at South County High School in Lorton, VA. I play winger and striker on Metro United’s 03/04 Girl’s Academy team. I am also a proud member of South County’s Varsity Women’s Soccer Team (2021 Virginia Class Six Undefeated State Champions). I have been playing soccer since I was five and it has helped me stay centered and focused in many ways, especially academically. I have been on A/B honor roll every semester since middle school, am a member of National Honors Society, and have earned an academic letter every year of high school. I like to challenge myself on and off the field, from taking multiple AP classes to striving to play at the highest levels.
On the field, I have an attacking mindset and attitude. I am also willing to listen to my coaches and execute based on feedback to improve my game constantly. I thrive off of the fitness and physicality of the sport and love how you can continue to develop and be creative in soccer. Most of all, I love the team environment and working with coaches with different coaching styles.
Off the field, I continue to develop my leadership abilities, including serving as a leader on my school’s hype squad. I also have significant experience balancing multiple responsibilities, including a challenging course load, travel and high school soccer, two part time jobs, and spending time with family and friends.
I am interested in attending a college that challenges me academically, with a strong business and marketing curriculum. I would love to continue my soccer career on a competitive and collegial team.
