Hi! My name is Katie Morton. I've been playing soccer since I was 8 and want to continue that journey into college. It is important to work together as a team and each member has talents and skills to contribute. Hard work and dedication are very important to me as well as helping my team be the best it can be. I am very coachable and value feedback from coaches and teammates.
As a player I enjoy passing and connecting the ball down the field, not kick and run. I like traveling on both ends of the field helping score goals and keeping the other team from scoring. I enjoy the hard work and the need to be athletically fit to be in the central midfield. To grow as a player I run, get extra touches on the ball, and lift weights in my spare time. I want to increase my mobility in the midfield to better prepare myself for the next level.
Outside of soccer, I am very involved at school. I am the Vice President of Lead Club, which does volunteer work and teaches leadership skills. I am also a member of Spanish Club, BETA Club, Mu Alpha Theta (Math Honor Society) and the Clover Hill English Honors Society. My classes are very important to me, and I work hard to get good grades.
