Personal Statement
I have a true passion for football, God given talent and a work ethic to match. I strive to be the best I can be on the field, in the classroom, and in the locker room. I use my natural leadership abilities to make my teammates better and I truly enjoy helping and watching them get better. I am excited to learn and grow each day and I am eager to learn from great coaches.
My Senior year and season were riddled with both positives and negatives. We endured COVID19 and remote learning. Academically I excelled (3.7 GPA for year); however, I was injured (level 2 MCL) during the first game of my season and unable to return due to the season being abbreviated (six games in the Spring). I saw many programs as well as coaches who were previously interested completely disengage. This was a hard period, but I've been persistent with my pursuit.
I am a leader and have had some obstacles, but have been successful in overcoming. I have attended three high schools in two states due to my Mother's job changes. I've learned three different offenses as a QB and added additional roles both on offense and defense my Junior year. I am determined to make something of myself and have learned so much through the obstacles. I want to be a scholar-athlete in college and pray that football will pave the way.
With Gods grace and an opportunity, I'm sure that I could make any team successful. I can play offense and defense as I started as Quarterback as well as Safety. I have a high football IQ and can read plays, offenses and defenses. I'm very coachable and methodical in my approach to learning.
