First let me thank you for taking the time to review my profile. My name is Elizabeth (Liz) Marcheschi and I will be a freshman in high school for the 2016-17 school year. For the time I was young, my parents have had us in many different sports to see what we really had a passion for. Over the years, I found that soccer and swimming were the two sports that I really enjoyed. However, over the last few years, soccer has really become my passion sport. My future dreams have always included attending college to pursue a degree but those dreams have also included playing soccer at the collegiate level.
From scoring my first goal, to becoming a starter and striving to be a captain, my main focus is to be a contributor on and off the field during my academic and athletic career. Whether I am on the bench supporting my teammates or the captain of my club team, I want to make a difference. Being a part of a team has helped build my character and is a big part of who I am today. My team pushes me to be better on and off the field. I am striving to be a captain because I am dedicated and determined to lead by example.
Being involved in sports has not only made me physically tough but mentally tough as well. Although, soccer is my first love, swimming has instilled in me an additional level of dedication. From waking up at 4:00am for swim practice then going straight to school followed by soccer practices in the evenings, I have had to develop the ability to prioritize my academics above all else. During my middle school career, I earned A’s and B’s and made the honor roll for every quarter.
I know I will be attending college, but if I am fortunate enough to find a great college what will also give me the opportunity to play the sport I love, that is just a bonus for my family and myself.
