My name is Kalli Drexler. I have been playing soccer for as long as I can remember. I am very passionate about the sport and love to spend time on and off the field working to become the best player I can be.
During the fall season I play on the WI United FC 2006 Premier Grey girls team. This fall my team placed as Runner Up in the 2023 State Cup Championships. I attend Appleton North High School where I play on their varsity women's soccer team. For the spring 2022 season I was awarded 1st Team All-Conference and 1st Team All-Area as a midfielder. My team also voted me the Most Valuable Player. During my freshman season, spring 2021, I received Honorable Mention All-Conference and team voted Rookie of the Year honors. Going into the spring 2023 season I will be on the leadership committee and cannot wait to help lead my team.
Throughout my career I have always been a versatile player, willing and able to play various positions. As a defensive mid, I am strong on 50/50 balls both out of the air and on the ground. Additionally, I bring a sense of control in the middle, slowing down the opposition’s attack, distributing the ball, and building an attack. Moreover, I have a strong leg, and the ability to place the ball into the box from far out. As a leader, I communicate heavily both on and off the field, reflecting the values of the team even when I’m not on the pitch. In addition to being a defensive mid, I help fill in as a center back and attacking mid when needed.
My academics reflect the same hard work I put into soccer. As a freshman I finished the school year with a 4.0 GPA, carrying that GPA through the first semester of sophomore year. I finished out sophomore year with a 3.85 GPA and earned a '4' on the AP World History exam. As a junior I am currently taking 4 AP courses and on track to finish the semester strong.
Like many others, it has always been my dream to play soccer for as long as possible, and I would love to continue to play, grow and learn from both the players and coaches post high school.
