I started swimming when I was about 10 years old. Swimming has given me such a passion for competition that I never knew I had. The past two years I started qualifying for bigger meets (like Zones, Sectionals, NCSA’s, etc.), and it made me realize that I may actually have a shot at swimming in college. Swimming has also given me the chance to meet all kinds of different people and go to new places. My goals before I get to college are to get a Summer and Winter Juniors cut, continue to improve my technique, and drop more time. My coaches and teammates would describe me as someone who comes to practice everyday with a good attitude and a desire to get better. I would like a college that encouraged a good balance between academics and swimming. I’m excited for the possible opportunity to get to swim in college and will continue to work hard until I reach that point.
